A reader (Alex) is starting a series of 360 landscape shots which he’s calling “Landscape in Motion”. The first of the series starts off under a bridge outside Kuwait City and you can interact with it by clicking [Here]
Make sure you click the “Stand Here” icons when you see them to be transported to a different location. And yeah Kuwait does look really beautiful in these shots.

A few days back an Instagram user going by the handle @aymanalruwayeh posted a picture of the beach near Shuwaikh showing how dirty it was. Someone from NBK ended up seeing that picture and decided to gather up some volunteers from the bank and go clean up the beach. Pretty cool initiative.

If you’re ever in Lebanon you need to pass by a small restaurant called Onno. It’s located in an area I love called Burj Hammoud which is the “Little Armenia” of Lebanon. The area is a must visit destination in any case and this tiny restaurant should be even more reason for you to go there. I found out about the restaurant from an Anthony Bourdain episode and since I had a friend visiting Lebanon we decided to pass by and try it together. The small family run restaurant serves delicious Armenian dishes at very reasonable prices with my favorite dishes being the “kebe adas” and the “basterma with quail eggs”. You can watch the Anthony Bourdain episode on Lebanon below which features the restaurant at the start and here is a link to their [Facebook Page]

I’m going to delete this post after 24 hours

Even though the old blue and white ghost house off the 4th Ring Road has long been demolished it looks like it’s still haunting people. There currently is a hotel being built where the ghost house used to be and according to one of the project engineers who works on the site, they’re facing problems with the laborers because they’re afraid of going down to the basement. They’re even afraid to work alone on any floor.
I still haven’t been able to find a picture of the ghost house but I did find the cute sketch above that was done by Mr Divi.
Update: Below is a photo of the ghost house taken from [Here]

ATARI is an Asian influenced tapas restaurant that just opened up a couple of days ago across from Al-Seef Palace next to Slider Station. They’re still in their soft launch phase so they’re only open from 5pm to 11pm daily except for Mondays. For more info and some pictures including their menu, visit their Instagram account [Here]
Update: I was just told they’re not officially open yet but they’re taking reservations
Kuwait Airways plane, bound to Cairo, has returned after taking off from Kuwait International Airport due to technical error on Monday, the state-run carrier said.
The captain of the airplane discovered a technical error after taking off and returned to the airport in line with international standards, Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC) public relations and media director Khaled Al-Khulaifi said.
The captain dumped some of the fuel to decrease the weight of the plane, a well-known procedure in such cases, landed normally and all passengers left the plane, Al-Khulaifi said in a statement to KUNA.
The passengers were well received by the ground staff until an alternative plane is provided, he added. [Source]

If you want to create your own here is a blank canvas but it’s more fun if you actually go out in a group to a street sign in your neighborhood and do something, take a photo and send it to me on [email protected] so I could post it up here. Trust me, it’s a lot of fun.
Note: if you haven’t seen Bnaider 258 or 264 you won’t get this

After one of my images on Instagram went viral this weekend I started getting a lot of new (and mostly weird) followers on my Instagram account. One of my followers turned out to be a sheep seller. It’s such a weird account, just pictures and pictures of different sheep with a phone number to call if you want one. It’s by far the strangest thing I’ve seen so far being sold on Instagram in Kuwait. I tried calling the number to see if they deliver and how much a sheep costs but the guys phone was closed. If you’re interested you can follow him on Instagram under the account @sheeps_sell

I would love to spend a day inside Zaha Hadid’s mind. Construction will supposedly start this summer and be completed by 2017. [Link]

(Reuters) – State-run Kuwait Airways will spend 850 million dinars ($2.98 billion) on 25 new Airbus jets and aims to lease a further 13 to upgrade its ageing fleet, a Kuwaiti newspaper reported on Sunday. [Source]
The planes will consist of 10 wide-bodied A350-900 jets and 15 of the slimmer A320neo. No A380’s so I guess the “Ya Kuwait Airways naby A380” campaign didn’t do so well.
Thanks Salem
