Yesterday Tivo-Guy messaged me telling me he was able to install and run OS X Tiger on one of his machines at home. Tivo-Guy unlike us regular geeks is a Super Geek who can turn a kitchen blender into a computer if he wanted to. Last week I posted a link to a new service called Pandora which can help you discover new music by telling it what artists or songs you like. I got my invite to the service today and the first thing I did was tell it I liked “Kid Loco”. Within a few seconds they introduced me to a song I had never heard of before, Afro Halo by Magic Arrows. The song was really fucking cool and it really is similar in style and sound to Kid Loco. When the song was done it gave me another cool song by another musician and when that was done another. Non stop music all similar in style and sound to Kid Loco.

At the moment you can only get into Pandora by invite so go give them your email address and they should email you an invite within a week. Here is a link to Pandora’s website. [Link]

Ebert’s a nice guy, I’ve seen him a couple of times on Jay Leno and always wished I had his job of just watching movies all day long. I don’t think his taste is very cool though, I prefer Rollingstone’s movie reviews, they are a lot cooler and younger then Ebert AND they gave Dukes of Hazzard zero stars! I found that very funny.

If you are in the process of buying a Mac now put your purchase on hold. Why? Apple has a habit of introducing new products or upgrades during one it large events which are held throughout the year. Steve Jobs usually starts these events with his famous keynotes and then introduces the new products. Next month is the Apple Expo in Paris in which the new iMac G5 was introduced last year. During these expos it is expected that Apple would introduce new hardware and software products, or at least some hardware and software updates. Below is a list of the Apple products divided into two sections, “Likely to be Updated” and “Not LIkely to be Updated”.

YouTube.com is a service like Flickr except instead of people sharing pictures they share short videos. I personally don’t have any movies I want to share with people but it is interesting to watch other peoples videos. For example I just watched one guy do a pretty good Napoleon Dynamite impersonation and now I am going to look for some amatuer porn videos. [Link]

Over a month ago I posted about a woman who is making her own movie about how McDonalds is healthy for you and today on CNN there is an article about how this other woman lost 37 pounds after eating McDonalds for 90 days! I hope people who watched and believed the movie Super Size Me know that it was all bullshit. [Link]

I spent most of Friday morning installing emulators and game roms on my Xbox. On my Dreamcast I had a ton of emulator CDs and games including over 1600 Sega Genesis games. So, I spent the morning copying all the Roms off the Dreamcast CD onto my Xbox, then I downloaded some Xbox emulators from #xbins on Efnet and installed those also. Now I can play tons of games that were made for the Genesis, 32X, SNES, Coleco or MSX on my Xbox. They also all run extremely well with no slowdown what-so-ever. Next step is to get some NeoGeo roms and a NeoGeo emulator for the Xbox.

Most Xbox users with modded Xbox’s can’t play on Xbox Live because Microsoft would ban them once they detect a modded Xbox. Luckily for us though there is a service that competes with Xbox Live and its called XLink. Basically what XLink allows you to do is to play ANY System-Link capable game online, even games that don’t have Xbox Live. Not only that but XLink also works with other systems including GameCube, PS2 and the PSP. Whats even cooler is that its for free! [Link]

Note: For those of you who have old modded xbox’s, for KD10 you can get a new chip that will allow you to turn off the mod and play on Xbox Live, check in Rihab Complex for more info.

Results? Out of atleast 10 games we played, Team Damen didn’t even come close to winning a single one! We totally got our asses kicked. Next time we should split up Team Da Hui and mix and match between their team and ours. We are no competition at the moment. The grudge match between Ripping Fabric and Fadibou resulted in Ripping Fabric winning.
